Well, they laid down the brine yesterday

Yup, the Region of Peel was out yesterday morning squirting brine along Erin Mills Pkwy north of the 403 and part of Britannia Rd. They sure are eager to lay that stuff down in Mississauga even with the forecast above freezing.

I was stuck behind a few cars kicking up the stuff so now am wondering if some of the liquid made its way into my Tacoma's brake calipers.....

Probably yes but so what? Is a Tacoma your summer vehicle and it doesn't see salt? It is supposed to warm up again so a thorough wash should get most of the brine out.

In case this is anybody's first fall riding, don't ride behind brine trucks. The brine tastes awful

Maybe they were right. I woke up to about 3" of snow.

I wouldn't worry about the taco calipers. My toyota has seen about 13 winters and all is good.

Yeah mount forest got some snow last night and it stayed in the fields no melting yet.

They also laid the brine yesterday

Haven't commuted to work since Monday. Tuesday I was all ready to ride, gear on, looked outside and saw snow coming down, accumulating. Decided not to take the chance. If there's water on the ground and the temp is below 0c I don't ride. This was my last week riding anyway before packing it in for the season. There was brine down everywhere by this morning, the unmistakable white salt haze on the road was visible. Might still ride Thursday, Friday conditions permitting.

Saturday will be my last ride. Electric jacket, gloves, chaps and all. Will take the Harley, run the fuel tank dry and refill it with Shell 91.

It snowed in wasaga, lindsay, etc area
There's frost on cars in the morning in caledon... tis bout that time i guess

Sorry to hear. GWS, Brine!
