Weaving to get tailgaters to back off

Hi Everyone,

After reading some suggestions on the forum about getting tailgaters to give riders some more room, I decided to give weaving in my lane a shot. I'm pleased to say I've had great success with this method. I like it a lot better than turning around and give the stop signal with my hand, because its non confrontational. All it takes is some back and forth weaving and the tailgater will think something is wrong with the bike / rider and will back off.

You can also just tap your rear brakes to make your brake lights go on and he'll eventually back off.

That's a good one... Wat I do weather I'm in my car or on my bike I ease of the gas and and slow rite down then speed up to normal and if they get on my *** again repeat as necessary lol. U will prob get honked at or have them speed up beside u and give u the finger or something dumb like that but tailgaters r a big pet peev of mine and I get a kick out of it lmao:)

You have to be careful with that one, though, because a cop might interpret that as brake checking the tailgater, which is a HTA 172 charge.

Fortunately I've got hazard lights on my bike so slowing down, and turning them on tends to do the job. That, or a dirty over-the-shoulder look.

I did this the other day. I was on the express lane and I passed a Toyota Sienna tailgating another SUV. After I passed them he starts tailgating me. I'm on the DVP doing 120kmh. I slow down to 90. He tries to go around me and I speed up so he can't pass and I just give him the '**** You' stare. Then I had to exit. The end.
