Hey everyone,

So who knew you needed to replace the diode in a hot water tank?

Anyways, there's water everywhere.

Looking to buy a new hot water tank, I am in the Toronto area (Allen road and eglinton ave west).

Looked into going to home depot but after reading reviews it seems that their generic stuff is poorly built / has warranty issues.

Wondering if anyone has any recomendations or experience with stuff like this that can point me in the right direction.

Anyone know a company that can install stuff like this for a reasonable price?

The tank I had was a Rheem.

I live in a small house would need a 50 gallon maybe even less.

Any and all advice welcome!

i have a 6 year old perfectly functioning 55 gallon GAS, super flu 6, with perfectly functioning Powered vent,
I been meaning to put on kijiji for a year in my garage, i went tankless.
its just been taking space up..

$200..

justin case your looking at alternatives.

If its just electric tank replacement, you could do it yourself for under $400 including the tank and it's a pretty easy job. I got a home depot tank and it is covered for 6 years and it cost me about 350ish. Divide that by 72 months, works out to about $4.80 a month, at that price i can easily replace it every 6 years for peace of mind.

1/ I don't have a gas line going to my house as far as I know. Thanks though.

2/ I don't think we rent to begin with, seeing as it is an electric heater.

3/ I think Im going to grab one from Home Depot, seems easy enough.

Thanks everyone!
