I was out riding tonight in Newmarket and went to turn right from Yonge Street north to Green Lane east. When I entered the corner, my bike lost all (!!!) traction and I started sliding uncontrollably, thankfully at low speed. I thought I was going down, but I held on to it after a few tense moments.
I had lost control on what I think was garbage truck residue. By the time I saw the patch on the road, I was already out of control
So... my PSA for today is: pay close attention to the roads and take note of any discolouration in the pavement, which might indicate fluid, oil or grease.
