Posted my bike for sale. Got a guy with Houston area code wanted to see the bike right away. Ask me if I have the VRH of the bike. If I don’t, can send me a link to a a website that does it cheap. Did a quick search of the site online to see if legit. Got a bunch of article saying beware of scam asking for VRH. They just want to steal your personal info.

Might be real or fake, but don’t want the headache and just wait for next buyer. And block the number. Just want it out there for people to know there a scam like this going on.
 
Total timewasters man. One, they're trying to promote some ****** VRH registry or two as Grey said they want to steal your id. Either way, it's a scam.
 
But if they do a UVIP on your bike don't they have all your info?? They even know if you still owe money on the bike.

The point isn't to find out information needed for a legitimate transfer. They are either trying to scam you out of the $xx for the report or they are are stealing the info you put into the form (and possibly payment info). No upside at all to the seller (or any legitimate buyer).
