Did you vote in the October 6th election in Ontario?

I had to fill out forms and stuff to get on the list. A small price to pay to exercise my right and freedom to vote.

I went through the trouble of registering at the new poll (moved recently) so I could formally decline my ballot. I'm disappointed with the entire selection. In some jurisdictions if enough voters decline their ballots, the election has to get done again and none of the candidates can run in it. Of course, they don't have as much brand loyalty as we do, so their voters vote for the candidate (and he gets more latitude in voting) and not the party.

I;m getting ready for McSquinty to rape me again

voted in the hope that I could help turf the Liberal incumbent

I think they're all FOS and inept but I've sat down on multiple ocassions with my current MPP to discuss HTA172 and this punter imo has less integrity then the pinky-ring-wearing radio salesmen I've dealt with for 2 decades

based on his handouts and flyers I'd have been far better served if I was Jewish and claiming that my religious beliefs were being violated by the law

so I voted for the wap

Yes.Bumping this thread!!!

I did my X. One radio station interviewed a woman who said she didn't make up her mind until she reached the polling station and then voted for the party that closest matched her values. It's nice to know that whores are voting as well.

am I the only Whitey McWhite who feels disappointed this round having to vote for either the Jew or the Italian?

feeling like my folks built this place and now I'm voting for the lesser of all evils to run it

it doesn't feel good fwiw

They probably feel the same about you everytime they drive by your shack and see your Impala parked on the front lawn with the wheels off... :-)

I didn't vote and I don't really care.

wow, the cons must be really upset. . .

with the multitude of issues they could have used against mcguinty, they still lost
with the horrible turnout (vote suppression always favours the cons, because their support base goes to vote religiously), they still lost

the real winners this election were the ndp. . .somehow they grew their vote even with the low turnout

if this same election had been run with the same turnout as the last provincial election, that would have translated into another comfortable liberal majority, for sure. . .

nah I'm not that guy

I'm the one with the pristine place....green weed-free lawn and VW on the driveway while the toys are in the spotless garage

seems the Jewish guy won in my ward....shocker

can't believe the people in this province almost gave McGuinty another majority....idiots

My neighborhood had split the vote between the fiberals and ndp during fed elections and the cons won. Things went back to the fiberal normal this time around. I knew that from the start. It'll be real hard for the cons to live down Mike Harris as long as there's the 407 to remind us. I just wish they also published declined ballot stats both general and per riding. I know I did my part on that one

I get my hydro bill, and every receipt that shoes HST to remind me of our current gov't.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
Fool me thrice, I'm a ****in moron and don't deserve to vote.

To the other 53%:

You got exactly what you deserve.

And you're idiots.

And the GTA needs an enema.

I know people are lazy. But whenever I hear how low voter turnout is I'm reminded of what selfish lazy pricks surround us in this world.

Advance polls + long hours on election day = there's no excuse.

I held my nose and voted Liberal, for the first time in over 30 years. I have no trust in or respect for McGuinty but in the current global economy, investors prefer continuity. Hudak never offered any sound alternatives, only attacks, and the day I vote NDP is the day I voluntarily have myself committed.
Overall it was a sad excuse of an election but Ontario has become a sad excuse of a province.
