1978 KZ650 (with 1982 KZ750 engine) for sale. The head is ported, shaved .010" and has HD valve springs with shim over buckets for ease of adjustment. The cams are 83-85 GPZ 750. Approx. $700 invested in head work.
Bought it last year with hopes of vintage racing with it but I'm still working to get back on the track after a bad knee injury. Finally made it out to a track and I did have a very slow, mild, low side that resulted in the clutch lever breaking and some scuffing on the clutch cover (no leaks). The frame slider took the rest of it.
The bike pulls strong, has new oil and filter, brand new Avon RoadRiders, brand new battery, steel braided brake lines, and, is fully safety wired. It has been raced in the VRRA before by the previous owner. I've got a lot into it but I'm motivated and ready to sell.
I've also got a one piece Joe Rocket leather suit (size 40) that I will throw in to sweeten the deal.
