Vibration @ 30 kph

I have a weird vibration from 25 to 40 kph on my wee-strom.

-I had changed my tires this past weekend (to Shinko E705's the new radials not bias)
-Vibration was not there before I changed my tires
-Static balanced the front, didn't bother with the rear
-ONLY happens between 25 and 40. Below 25 and above 40 its smooth.
-Everything was torqued as per suzuki
-Wheel bearing appeared to be OK (checked when I changed the tires)
-dos not feel like a warped bent rotor

Any ideas? Is it just because its a more blocky tire then the bridgestones battlewings I had on before?

There should be a yellow dot on the sidewall of each tire that should be lined up with the air valve stem when installed. Rebalance both tires.

check your head bearing. both our 636's have bad head bearings, caused excessive amounts of vibration

The dot and steam where lined up. I'll pull both tires off and balance them as well as re-check all the bearings. Thanks for the reply's.

Head bearing?

WHat kind of bike? Do you have any way to jack up the front tire and keep it suspended?

What do you mean by "bad"? I have alot of experience with ZX6R's and have never had one come through my shop with anything wrong with the head bearings besides being loose and needing adjustment

LOOSE. Mine is just WAY too far gone. Im sure when I pull it out the race will have some damage.

the 05/06 636 needed a slight adjustment, should be fine for a while now.

How long do your head bearings last with all that wheeling and hard landings?

Forever, I have never had to replace steering head bearings on any of my bikes as old as 2003

What what the profile of the old tire compared to the new tire? Tire pressure difference?

Same profile and right now pressure. But I did go from a 90/10 street/trail tire to a 75/25 one. I will check the head bearing before I go to work tomorrow. Trying to dry off right now.
