I got the shorty gloves and the jeans from the group buy and have been using them on a fairly regular basis in a mix of weather. So far the jeans seem to hold up and although not as warm as an insulated pair I have i do find that i can feel my knees after riding an hour home from work at midnight. So i would have to recommend them. The fact that they come with their own armour is a bonus.
With regard to the gloves (shorty) they did take a while to break in, but now they are quite comfortable. Usually I use 4 fingers to grip the clutch/brake, however with these gloves ive switched to using 2 fingers. I have found that in this set up the pinky finger takes up slightly too much space and in some instances it feels odd when shifting. Otherwise they appear well made. With regard to cold weather riding I have found that they are better that some other shorty gloves (warmer) but you have to squish your fingers together to minimize the wind getting into the gloves.
