Used Ducati Diavel

The neighbour called.The guy said that if it doesn't sell this weekend,it will be traded at the dealer.The price is almost half the new price.And 75% of the detail info is wrong or goofy.
 
Makes no sense at all. Dealer wholesale is most likely higher than that!
 
I looked it up, first he has it listed as a 2001, it should be a 2011. Second the Diavel is a 1098, not a 1198. Finally, the bike is seriously underpriced. Dealer trade-in on the bike is more than he is asking.

Something fishy about the bike. Worth a look if local but could be stolen and rebadged.

I have the Carbon Red. It is 1198cc. (Sorry revrandy) 162 hp. The Termi alone is worth $4000 new with ecu etc.
Even with the Termi on will not give you the extra 10hp.
Same engine as the Multistrada.
2011 was the first year they came out, also with a few teething problems.
No fuel gauge, a light comes on when you should be looking for gas.
Headlights. lol. nothing new. Suppose he forgot to put and rear lights.
At that price if it is too good to be true it probably is.
 
Neighbour talked the guy last nite.Guy said that Autotrader screwed up the ad.Even the price is wrong,it's $18,500.The owner is diabetic and has lost his leg.Neighbour is going to look at it today.I told him him to be sure he has a uvip.I wouldn't touch it.

That`s better. Sorry to hear about the fellows bad luck. Nice bike and I love mine. If it is genuine at that price it will go fast, depending on the model.
Get loads of comments on it, even from cagers. When I first sat on one my first impression was that is it fugly. All changed when I did my research. really nice to ride and not heavy compared to a V Rod.
Also depends on which model it is. Regular, Carbon Red, AMG. If it is for the regular not much of a price difference between that and new. The Termi is a plus as it is $4000.
The trouble is the accessories are expensive, it is a Ducati. Lots of fun to ride. Go to "You tube" loads of info and demo rides.
All in all not a bad price.
If you go to the Ducati site and do the You tube thing you will lose a days riding.

He is going to check it out tonite.He thinks he can get it for $16,500.Good deal if he can.Esp if it has a full Termi on it.
 
Don't really know how Autotrader could screw up the pricing when it is stated twice - once in the title and once in the description.
Another thing is that Autotrader probably doesn't reenter all the information provided when an ad is posted - If they have a system where someone checks the information is valid, I'm pretty sure that it is an approve/disapprove (or something along the lines of that) for people to view.

The person probably entered a price to get more views and contacts for the ad or its a scam. Just make sure everything on the UVIP checks out.

Oh i forgot.The guy threw in a rear DP stand as well.It's sad tho.The seller has lost his left leg below the knee at 69 yr young.And the other leg is not good either.His wife just had a bad stroke.
Like i have always said kids......this isn't a practice round.Enjoy every day!
