Used Bike: Too low KMs?

Looking for a used first ride. What should I expect to replace on an older bike with crazy low KMS? 2007 Ninja with 75KMs... yep, pic of Odamete4r showing 41miles... says it was imported from US, registered in ONT currently, but not recently plated.

I'm thinking tires would be rotted, but what else could need replacing?

battery if its OEM. unless it's been on a battery tender it would most likely be almost dead if not dead.
probably wanna put some fresh oil in there

and see if you can find out why it has so little KM on it, perhaps it was in a SERIOUS accident and just repaired and the owners been scared to ride it since. if thats the case you should probably look else where since that could mean lots of problems down the road

but if it's just minor accident the bike should still be solid.

Possibly an ex dealership demo bike.

gauges have been replaced?
Bike spent it's life as a racebike till now?
spent it's life in an insurance auction compound till recently being repaired to hide damage?
I'd be skeptical.

It would have a very particular past, not just "some imported bike". Inquire a little more, and if that's the only answer you get, walk away.

I bought my '83 last year with only 650 km on it. The story was the original owner had bought it and parked it. The guy I got it from was the second owner and he had put those 650 km on it himself. He was selling it due to medical reasons. It had a new battery and everything did indeed seem mint. I've been riding it fairly consistently since, and the only issue has been the front fork seals needing replacing. Not all low km bikes are suspicious.

Or maybe the owner simply dropped it, scared the b'jebus out of him/herself and parked it. Happens often enough.

That could be but there's no evidence of a drop. Other than a small (1 cm) tear in the seat, the bike was mint. Previous owner owned the local Krown rustproofing shop and it was kept there over the winters so not even any rust after 29 years.

Which Ninja? 500's have a common problem with the cable to the speedo and odometer coming loose.

I bought a US Ninja 500 2004 4 years or so ago with low kms on it. It had had a low speed off and a few scratches, one bent clip on. Must have scared the rider and they never rode it. I changed the tires on it as they were old, changed the battery eventually, and put seafoam in to help with the carbs.

75km on a 2007 screams "odometer disconnected or replaced" to me....
