Um... when did California enact helmet laws? last time I was there people were riding around with no helmets.

Some amusing takes on laws:
Pennsylvania - no helmet required on road, but helmet required off-road
Delaware - you don't have to wear your helmet but you must have it with you
Alabama - you can do anything off road -haha
Florida - or Flow Ryda - you can have babies as passengers
Georgia - no helmet required off-road, but eye protection is
Idaho - no handlebar height restrictions (I gotta go there just to see some of them ape hangers - lol)
Kentucky - who'd of thought, you can lane split in Kentucky
Maryland - you can only have one helmet speaker
Massachusetts - eye protection required only by instructional permit holders

Ok maybe more, but I'm pretty bored with this now.... lol

That's kind of hilarious. I saw helmets in Cali last year, but I didn't look into the law. I don't think I saw any without helmets except for like Ohio/Illinois/Indiana area.

I don't get the appeal of this. Isn't it both tiring and annoying to have your hands up this high for any period of time? How does this benefit the rider in any way. Someone care to educate me, here?

It gets you practicing when the SWAT team shows up to the club's door.

Remember that even in States that do not have a helmet law, you may be required to wear eye protection.

Gilligan taught me that. Makes sense. How often do you get sand or something in your eye, and think of the bugs on your visor vs how many times does your head hit the pavement. Your risk of going down is extremely high if you've been blinded by a pack of bugs.

haha don't be mean.

Not mean, just pointing out that Cali is NOT the term for California. The only place you see it referred to as California is with people who have never lived there but think they are using local vernacular...

Welp, I've never lived in California, so we're consistent with your theory so far.
