Dear Friends,
We wish we wouldn’t have to update you under the circumstances we find ourselves in. Questions and concerns inevitably come up about possible sanctions, availability of bikes and parts, support and so on. The short answer is that we are as ready as we can possibly be to address whatever challenges may come our way. Over the years we've learned to navigate ups and downs, to make plans B, C and D both strategically and on the fly. We’ve weathered storms that were very real and dealt with obstacles that were not so publicly known. The history of our brand shows that Ural always finds a way to move forward. Our highest priorities have always been our employees, our partners and our customers. We still hope for people to remain human, value life and stand for living instead of fighting.
We pray for peace.
The Team at Ural

I wonder how much your prayers will help Ukrainians victims of Russian aggression. You are charging 36K CAD for a Ural rig, how much of your profit will go to Putin pocket and how much to help those who suffer in Ukraine?

Is ural actually Russian owned anymore or is that now a poor choice of factory location ?

In November 1992, IMZ-Ural transformed into an open-end joint stock company "Uralmoto Joint Stock Company" a privatized entity owned 40% by management and employees through grant, 38% by auction with privatization vouchers (mostly management and employees also) and 22% retained by the government. In July 2000, the company was re-organised with the government's shares being redistributed to investors.

At the beginning of 1998 the business was bought by private Russian interests and it is no longer a State Company. The private owners have mandated new ideas, investments, management, production techniques, designs, technology and quality control of incoming, in-process and finished products.

In 2000, the company was sold to three entrepreneurs and broken into three components with the power production facilities, and foundry and forge being sold off. They took that opportunity to reorganize the remaining factory. It was originally spread over many, many acres because it had been such a major manufacturing plant, making thousands of motorcycles per month. Many employees were let go in the ensuing reorganization

Dear Ural Factory

Your country chose Putin. Sorry, just as we have to suffer under our POS head of government you have to suffer under yours. Fix your problem and we'll talk.

I don't think your workers are under as much stress as the average Ukrainian so suck it up.

Is the 407 owned by Russians? If so is the Ford gov. acting on this?
Just asking because I really don't know.

How can they "choose" Putin if he jails anybody who runs against him!?

Have you seen what they do if you protest?

In mother Russia, you don't **** around and find out.

SNC Lavalin had a good chunk. They were crying that they had to sell some off to pay some of their corruption fines. Boohoo.
OPG lined SNC's pockets for Darlington's nuclear refurbishment. As best I can tell, that was a giant waste of money.
