I recently bought an iphone which was locked to the bell service, since im with rogers i need to get the phone unlocked. I went to a place in brampton and he unlocked it for me, worked for honestly about 5 minutes then didnt work at all afterwards...atleast i got my money back out of it. So, now im trying to find someone to unlock it for me and make sure its done properly and permantley not temporarly lol

Is there anyone that can help me out?????

I thought bell and rogers operated on different frequencies. If they don't then you're in luck otherwise you're SOL. Take it p-mall or use google.

p-mall, plenty of places in there that do it and will be cool about helping you out if anything buggers up after a bit...as for rogers and bell network differences, i don't know if the iphone has different chips in it for those two carriers on here, folks on here nerdier than i will answer that...otherwise, depending on what iOS you are running, tons of apps out there that are realy easy to use to do it yourself...

CDMA is just telus and Wind uses some obscure frequency, bell now uses SIM's as well, and are on frequencies that rogers uses as well. You can very easily unlock your iPhone4 to be used with Rogers without issue. I have done this before with a Samsung Galaxy phone a little over a year ago and it still works perfectly.

The problem with unlocking phones isn't the unlocking part, its finding all the VPN data for MMS and DATA, and Rogers would rather chop off their arm than freely give it to you. And all those unlockers know all this info but WILL NOT share it because they want you to pay them to put it all in. Without this info you wont be able to send or recieve any sort of data (emails, pictures, videos, MMS)..

APN1 [this one will have the radio button beside it]
Name: need this
APN: need this
Username: need this
Password: need this
APN Type: default
(all other fields blank)

APN2 [this one will not have any radio button beside it]
Name: need this
APN: need this
MMSC: need this
MMS Proxy: need this
APN Type: mms
(all other fields blank)

That is the info you will need, and all this can be found within your phones "connection" settings likely. But I personally have never handled an iPhone4. I am pretty sure someone in Pmall will be able to do this all for you, for a cost, just be sure to make them ensure they input all the info needed for your device to connect to those 2 APN's.

depending what modem version u have on your iphone... just jailbreak the phone and install ultrasnow. it's then unlocked for any carrier.

to change the apn just visit http://www.unlockit.co.nz on your safari web browser while on a wifi network and select the carrier if your data isn't working.

This.

Haven't had an iphone in a few months but the quote above is the way to go.
Never update when Apple releases new versions...wait til there's a proven working jailbreak.
