Anyone used U-Haul for their hitch installation? Got a quote, and it's about $550 ($105 for the actual installation), against Cobra ($750) installation.
I think I'm just hesitant to go to U-Haul because of bad worth of mouth over the years so would like someone's experience.

The entire bumper, lights, and tons of clips need to be removed to access the 'easy bolt on' part unfortunately.
I'm not too worried about the $100 that U-Haul charges, but looking to see if anyone actually used them and whether it's as bad as people say.
EDIT: @oioioi I've got the ramps also, which will def make life easier. I'm just worried about taking everything off...and then being able to actually put it back together again.

In that case that's not bad pricing.
I haven't used them for install myself but I think I would give them a try.
Maybe find one with a bigger U-Haul centre.
Maybe go see one and see if you can talk to the tech and feel him out
I've installed a couple myself and it was pretty easy, but those cars didn't require removing the bumper or many interior panels. If there's a lot of stuff to remove it would be worth paying the $100 to install the hitch, but I'd want to be confident that they weren't just slapping in the wiring harness using ScotchLok splices.
The Curt plug-and-play wiring harness looks pretty easy to install, except for the potential PITA of running a wire all the way to the battery. Depending on how much interior plastic you have to remove to do that, I'd probably just splice that into the existing wiring at the rear of the car with a crimp connector if you're running low-draw LED turn signals on the trailer.

They are hit and miss, pretty sure they're franchised? So someone giving you a review of their experience in St catherine's isn't really going to help you. Could get unlucky and have the 17 year old kid assigned to yours and he breaks half of your clips taking the bumper off and try and hide it...you won't know until the job is done. I would try and do yourself or find a more professional place that has the owner doing it who does them all day long. I know 15 years ago my dad had one installed at U-Haul on a pathfinder and he ended up re-doing all the wiring as the tech at the time left the wires hanging down under vehicle and generally a mess...though easier these days with plug and play wiring harnesses.
I was going to say to look online for the hitch alone. I bought all my hitches on Amazon except for the last one.
Which came from U-Haul as they were the only ones that could get one. It was for a new body style Nissan Rogue and none else could give me a ETA on one. Their price was fair as well.
I installed it myself.
If you want I can ask my buddy who owns a body shop if they can do it for you.
They take off bumper and body panels and clips all day long.
Located in Milton.
However $550 with parts and tax is a pretty good deal.
I don't think they will install if you provide your own hitch.

If there is a cigarette lighter port in the trunk I would just tap into that.
My I was going to do this with my Kia Sedona untill I discovered that the van already had a port waiting for the plug in harness underneath the bumper. Nice surprise
Most new cars don't have cigarette lighter plugs unless they are special order.
The plug that looks like a cigarette lighter is low amperage meant for low draw accessories such as USB chargers.
If you have LED lights on what your towing it will work.
If you have incandescent bulbs then that may be an issue.
The Curt wiring harness is a pug & play unit.
Using wire taps always causes grief.
Some muffler shops also instal hitches.

Most are still rated at 120-180 watts. That lets you run a small fridge or inverter. No issues with trailer lights. No bueno for electric brake supply but that's a whole level of complication above what MP is doing.
