Two bikes, one U-Haul trailer?

Thinking about plans for 2023, and how I'd like to be able to take two bikes to the track in case one of them develops trouble. Have had plenty of success with single-bike U-Haul towing before, would be nice if it turns out there is a configuration that would work well with two. Or alternatively, another place to rent flat or enclosed trailers from that will carry two bikes. Any thoughts/suggestions, aside from buying my own trailer?
 
I'm not certain what width you'd need to carry 2 bikes side by side, but you could mount 2 sturdy chocks on a large piece of 3/4 or 1" plywood that was 4' or 5' wide (the width of the trailer) and about 3' deep. Stagger the chocks if you need to. Place this assembly at the front of the rental trailer put the bikes into the chocks and then use ratchet straps to secure. Should be very secure.
 
I've got a little galvanised flat deck (smaller than the UHaul motorcycle trailer, I'm almost certain) that I've used to take two bikes to the track a bunch of times. I just put two of those cheap blue Princess Auto front wheel chocks at the front and tie down accordingly (I place some 4x4 offcuts in front of the chocks to push the bikes back a bit so the tie-downs have some forward angle but the chocks are still braced against the front of the trailer). If fairings prevent tying to the triple clamp, I have a couple of Canyon Dancer Bar Harness II's for the front. I have four sets of tie-down points front and back so the inside tie-downs aren't too vertical, but that's probably overkill.

It's pretty tight with a bike that has flat bars on, so getting the second bike in / first bike out can take a bit of contortions, but it's generally pretty easy. I'm pretty sure my trailer deck is 5' wide...

2nd bike backwards so the clip ons don't touch. If your backwards-facing bike has a large windshield, you should take it off so it doesn't catch the air like a scoop.
