Twisties / roads with more turns around Hamilton?

Hey there, I am a new rider, had my 2005 Yamaha FZ6 for about 2 weeks now, really enjoying it!

I was wondering if anyone knows some place around Hamilton that has more turns/twisties. I'm not planning to go with warping speed, I just want a place where I can exercise leaning the bike and doing turns more. City traffic doesn't do the trick, it's mostly straight roads and not much practice...

Drop a line if you know a place around here! Thanks.

Sideroad 15 is alright just off of guelph line. Couple of tight turns with some bigger turns also, fun for a while. Just watch out for people on road bikes.

Ridge Road all the way and then drop down - there are some agricultural roads that are nice just above HWY 8 - just keep following the escarpment.

Take 8 further throughSt. Kitts then Queenston and take the Niagara Parkway all the way to Fort Erie.
You can slab back on the QEW or meander to HWY 20 and Fonthill. Nice 1/2 day loop - best away from tourist hours tho - Parkway can be a slow drag.

Thanks everyone! LOL, all your suggestions are definitely going to keep me happy for a while! Much appreciated!

Go to Smithville along Mud then follow 20 over to the road to St Anns (rr69) and on to St Catherines.

As mentioned already, definitely check Ridge Rd and take the off shoots that drop down the escarpment. Very tight, very twisty. Just stay sharp-- nearly everyone lane wanders.

Since the OP asked for around Hamilton.......

Use BusaBobs Red Hill Exp run as a starting point, then (if you scroll North on his map) continue on towards Mountain Brow, and then head to Kenilworth Access. You can have lots of nonstop fun on those roundabouts running up and down the access.

Note : haven't done Ken Ac in a few weeks, but I understand there may be some construction or rough roads there?

EDIT : just noticed Busabobs second link. that would be it, except, I'd add the Sherman Access too. You can get some nice speeds through there without the worry of cops. :)

Bob..... done this route many times, it s a goodie!

However, when you hit Victoria St....er...."Vineland Township Road", its much more exciting and interesting to go slightly north then quick turn right and pick up the 69 (Twenty Rd) again which will lead you nicely to point "B" on your map, rather than driving straight up the long and boring Vineland Township road, then turning at Hwy 20.

As mentioned off Ridge Rd. - coming up the hill - Dewitt Rd., Going down - McNeilly Rd and Fifty Rd are some sharp hairpins. Was there today with another rider.

Valley Rd. Dundas. Between York Rd and Rock Chapel Rd. Blind crest, blind corners, blind intersection, hidden driveways and deep ravines behind solid steel guard rails. Like a bit of Isle of Man right in our own back yard. Transfer Station just down the road. Recycle, garbage, hazardous waste and tire bin as needed. Top Ontario trauma unit at the General. A bit of a ride away but you wouldn't remember that anyway. Enjoy.
