Turn Signals got fried on my ninja 250 , need help

My 08 ninja got caught in the rain one day and so the day after only the left side (front and rear) turn signal worked.
The right side would sometimes flash erratically then die or not flash at all. After a while the right side just completely died.

I replaced the bulbs on the right side (front and rear) but still the same symptoms as I stated above.
I then tried replacing the fuse for the signals with a fresh one , but that didn't do anything.
After, I tried replacing the turn signal relay with a new one, it worked for one ride then completely died the next time I started the bike.

After that, both sides dont work anymore.

What do I do , were do I start ? (Im not good with electronics) I don't know how to "trace the problem" .

Can someone help me out here ?

Did you buy the right relay? was your previous bulbs led or incandescent?
check to make sure there's no water build up around the wires that's reltaed to the signals that causing it to short (ground). once this is accomplished, go get another relay

I did buy the right relay , my bulbs are incandescent . There is no water or any moisture on the wires now . It's all dry ( caught in the rain a month ago ) .

What at can I do next ?

I'd suggest picking up a digital multimeter (DMM) from Canadian Tire - something cheap, not too fancy. It'll be very helpful.

Make sure your bulbs are still good. Visually inspect the filaments. Check that there isn't any corrosion in the bulb sockets. Check for voltage in the bulb sockets (left and right) using the DMM.

Check the relay that you just bought. When it's plugged into the bike, can you hear it clicking when you activate the turn signals? There are two sides to the relay - the powered and the switched sides. The switched side is likely what's going to the fuse. Check the fuse to make sure it's good. Use the DMM to look for voltage at the fuse terminals.

If the relay isn't switching, then it's not getting power. Get the service manual / wiring diagram for your bike and trace it backwards to see where the source of power is for the relay. It'll eventually get to the switch on the bars. Open up the housing and look for corrosion.

If you find any corrosion in the bulb sockets or in the switch housing, use some sandpaper to remove it. Don't use steel wool.

If you aren't getting power at the relay, you can test it off the bike. Figure out which two terminals power it, then connect them directly to your battery. If the relay closes (verified audibly or with the DMM), then you know it's good but it's not getting power.

Post up your results.

Nobody has mentioned the most important thing. Check the cable connector that is connected to the turn signal

Yeah I was going to say check the connecting cables (in your trunk?) that provide power to your lights
