Truth in advertising

The pic with the selection of stickers made me guffaw...

Can't remember if it was here or Bookface where I saw a video of someone cutting off the remote 'reservoir' with a hacksaw to reveal solid metal joining it to the body...

That's actually a different one, but identical result. Shows how prevalent they are.

There was a thread recently in an RC51 owners group where someone asked about installing $50 Braking Wave ripoff front discs from Alibaba. Some of the reply stories from mechanics there about serious crashes as a result were quite sobering. Unregulated markets can be scary things...

A long time ago I was doing tech at Shannonville. A guy rolled his bike up on the ramp and I did a doubletake. The rear brake rotor was made of cardboard and covered with silver duct tape. I asked him why, his reply was "I never use the rear brake and I wanted to save some weight." Needless to say, he was sent to his room.

Holy molybdenum. Tech is there for a reason.

Love how he threw the duct tape on there, just for looks...

The interesting followup question is had he gotten that through tech before?

Probably.

Seen a chain fly by me at shannonville before, what great tech service <_<
