Triumph Daytona 955i

My dream bike of mid to late 90’s.

Get a quote on insurance first. Couple of years ago I found one for sale in great shape but didn’t go with it as cost of insurance was about the same as what the bike was offered at.

If you're talking about the bike that's for sale in the classifieds, I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.
 
I would love to have a 2001 955i. 1997-1998 models can have huge engine problems (oiling issues). Bike has had several recalls on it, make sure they have all been performed - one in particular relates to the quick disconnects on the fuel tank. There was also a TSB where the ECU gets re-flashed (eliminates the use of the rear wheel speed sensor and camshaft phase sensor, IIRC).

Edit: Finding parts is not hard, just be prepared to cough up $$$.
 
A friend has an '03 Sprint RS 955i and it's not horribly unreliable or difficult to keep up.

Budget more than a CBR, for sure, but not terrible.
 
I had a tiger 955i, quirky as hell. Parts are not difficult to find for the 955's but they are considerably more than japanese or even newer triumphs.
