Trial Success Against Disobey Sign

In June of last year I was charged with disobey sign.

Left turn prohibited time.

I requested trial and asked for disclosure. No disclosure was given. At trial (~8 months from offence) I asked for adjournment to get disclosure.

2nd date set. 2 more requests for disclosure not responded to.

At 2nd trial date(Exactly 1 year from offence date) crown handed me a copy of officers notes. I asked for adjournment to process the minimal disclosure given.

I then prepared an 11b and submitted the paper work today.

At court today the charges were withdrawn prior to arguing 11b.

Nice job. Strange how it would take so long to provide notes. What was the cost of fighting this ticket? (missed time from work, gas, etc.)?

I had to go to the court 5 times. Once to request trial. Once to submit my 11b paperwork and 3 times to attend trial. Fortunately this did not cost me any money except I guess a few liters of fuel. I also was able to use my office fax machine to submit various forms.

They said you can get notes immediately by going to the prosecutors office. I did not do that I faxed my requests thinking they would mail them to me.
