Transfer land title without lawyer (deceased spouse)

My aunt passed away last month and my uncle wants to transfer the house to his name from the joint title they had before. They have no loans or anything like that. The house is debt free.

Is there any way to do it without paying a lawyer $600+?

He has time so I don't think he minds a lengthy procedure.

I imagine he could do it himself at the Land Titles office in your area with a little help from the staff. Paralegals are a less expensive alternative as well.
