Probably taxpayers.Who pays for the time wasted and damages to the bike?
Apparently this summer. Rider just got his bike and video back after two months. I will say, that story seems suspicious. If the bike wasn't stolen, why would it get seized? If the cops had the camera, I would be absolutely shocked if the memory card didn't get "lost" while in their possession.Did this happen recently?
Strange way to deal with the situation even if the bike was stolen.
LOL they gave him a ticket for not leaving the Police Station when ‘ordered’ to do so. What a joke.Apparently this summer. Rider just got his bike and video back after two months. Not surprising. From this side of the story, it seems like retribution. Apparently one of the cops had an interaction with this rider before. As long as they don't hurt him enough to get a serious injury, they don't need to worry about SIU. Internal discipline has a very thick blue line and they aren't concerned about it. Hell, they may get promoted for sticking it to a rider that challenged them.LOL they gave him a ticket for not leaving the Police Station when ‘ordered’ to do so. What a joke.
It's an Insta360 with automatic horizon levelling. They're very convenient for motorcycle stuff. Doesn't matter where it's pointed or if it's level; you can just hit record and grab the angle/shot you want out of the editing software later.WOW.
That came(ra) fell at just the right angle.
Cops could of simply hit the kill switch instead of tackling him....
Is this part of police training? Throw a person off their bike!Yup.
Or even grab and hold onto the key while talking to him.
Stuff like this just encourages other riders to gun it whenever cops are around. I doubt those two cops were fellow riders - if they were, they may have been more considerate about not causing damage to the bike.
Reminds me of another story: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/hamilton/motorcycle-police-video-1.5794427
The worst part is the time, money and effort spent trying to undo all that damage : /

Must be part of the sensitivity training they all had to do after previous encounters like this. I'm sure it was all drafted up in the bar at HQ.Is this part of police training? Throw a person off their bike!
