Thanks TK4, waht an outstanding read.

I've been a fan of this history for decades, specially the CNE, family raced stockcars there in the 60's .

What an era, that deserves to be remembered . And mourned.

Nascar raced at CNE starting in '52. Lee Petty won the first race
Richard Petty raced his first Grand National at the CNE in '58 (he DNF)

CNE also hosted American Power Boat Assn. races (The NASCAR of boats).

... Toronto USED to be a fun place to live....
