Planning to ride up to Wasaga this weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations on a more enjoyable route than hwy 400? Nothing too technical as the gf will be on the back.

have a look at airport road. you can take a few detours off that but can use that as the base road.

I'd use Weston Rd, take a bit of detours

I usually take heart lake Rd to highway 9 and jump on airport straight to wasaga. It's a pretty quiet ride. I'll be in wasaga friday, if you're there say hey.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'll be looking through them. Now I just hope the weather cooperates!

I've actually taken The Gore Rd with my car and wished I was on the bike. If I remember correct, there are some nice hills there. Really liking the twisties. It's now making me wish the lady wasn't coming...LOL maybe next time I'll do one without her.

Here ya go. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/43....0x882a679b9b6e21e7:0x912266f40aca61fc!1m0!3e0

OK, so it will take you about 2.5 hours from Albion Road / Hwy 27, but you know the saying, "it's the journey, not the destination".

But why does your route zig-zags unnecessarily once you get closer to Wasaga Beach?

Because I really like CR9 out of Creemore and the view of Georgian Bay from the top of the escarpment as you round the curve on 124 just after Devil's Glen is worth the extra time and distance. He could just head straight up Airport Road instead of turning west onto CR9 at Cashtown Corners (love that name), which would save about 20 minutes.

No no no! Do not miss out on cr9, absolutely one of the nicest roads up this way.

Okay the question now is how do you import your Google route into a TomTom GPS? I'm interested in riding this route.

Going tomorrow, Saturday around 1pm. You're welcome to join if you don't mind a "relaxed" pace.

Almost forgot to update this. Took the route that Malks suggested. Really enjoyed it. The last bit of sideroad20 was closed due to a motorcycle accident (most of you might have heard about it). Was forced to take a detour. About 1km or 2 of dirt road. Nothing too crazy but definitely kept me and buddy of mine on our toes lol.

OH and the lady ended up bailing so it made for a more exciting ride lol.
