Hello all, I am planning to ride to downtown and park near Queen st. and River st. Are there any designated motorcycle parking spots in this part of downtown, or street parking where I can park 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Also, is it safe to park on daily basis, I mean theft or damage.

Google streetview will tell you. You can park on the street for free only where the signs say you're allowed.
As for theft and damage, that depends on your bike. Mine has gone untouched for a year parking everyday on the street. A friend had his bike tipped over by a bad parking job. It all depends.

Park where other bikes park, should be ok. Street view is indeed your friend. If able, scope out the neighbourhood in question to park (a 3 block radius, potentially more?) In the downtown core you should find plenty during the week. Keep an eye on signage in the area, like no parking between rush hour, etc.
As noted above, your bike's desire is evident of whether theft is a thing. A brand new Ducati Panigale may get much more theif eyes than a KLR or a Ninjette.
