Toronto Downtown Core Parking - Daily Commuters, where do you park?

Is there a place close to King and Yonge where daily riders park their bikes? I recall seeing a number of bikes nearer to Front street at some point and wonder if there is a designated/regular space where bikes can be parked safely? What's the cost for a work day?

I've never ridden to work and would like to do so a few times, but parking and leaving the bike all day makes me a bit nervous about it.

Any advice at all folks?

I was in the downtown area last weekend on my bike to go to Beer Bistro. And I parked on Toronto St. Whole bunch of bikes parked there if you google street view these coordinates 43.649755,-79.376012

King & Simcoe is popular. Park there myself often and never had a vandalism incident. Also Queen & Simcoe and that general area has good P-parking. It's a small haul to Yonge & King from there but is an alternative if other places are full.

Heads up. Be careful to not put any part of your bike beyond the pole holding the P-sign. I've seen tickets on bikes which poked a rear wheel slightly beyond the pole because space was at a premium that day.

thanks for the advice all; what about the stretch on Scott Street at Wellington. that's the one I was referring to in my original post and wonder if that is a safe place to park at?
Does anyone who parks there have an idea of what the daily rate is?
Thanks.

Is it free or you have to pay for the parking?

Goes without saying that free parking for motorcycles only applies to street-based Green P spots. There are Green P lots, but all vehicles must pay at those locations.

You are correct. Green P lots are not free to bikes. Paid street parking is free for bikes.

I park on Scott regularly. Never had an issue, there are always bikes there, even when the forecast calls for rain. They do film in the area fairly often so sometimes I park on other nearby streets, south side of Front usually has enough space if nothing closer has a spot. Just make sure to read the parking signs for hours, they vary alot in the area, most are 8AM-9PM but some are 9:30am - 3pm.

Thank you for the information all. For the Scott Street parking I will swing by tomorrow to check the timing. I will probably be parking rather early, ie around 7:30 am, so hopefully it's permissible.

I work by Front and Blue Jay way, and I get to park at a nice little parking area behind the Symcor building. There's a gate that's wide enough for motorcycles to go through and we all park at the 'No Parking' section. It's perfect.
