Hello all, I was just wondering if we could start a list of the best roads to ride in the GTA or just outside of the GTA. I am a noob so your help would be appreciated. So far I know of these 3.

1) Forks of the Credit - been there as I live in North Brampton and it's easy to get to - very scenic and a nice ride.

2) Snake Rd. - would like to check it out shortly

3) Hockley Valley - haven't been yet but on my to do list

** please let me know of other roads that are scenic and twisty it would be nice to rate them out of 10 if possible. I know it might be hard to give a rating as they are all different and require different skill sets/technical abilities**

You must have missed the Riding Roads/Hazards forum

Well GTA just about = zero decent roads unless you count Mississauga Road but just outside some decent

Geared for scoots but still fun in stretches

Includes a good Snake and Escarpment route I helped with

http://wingnutty.ca/

Just point the bike along the escarpment and weave up and down it. :D

Yonge street....

rosedale valley rd to bayview extension, turn around and do it again.. thats all i can think of for toronto.

15 is a great road they where puting gravel down today on the last part today but first half from 9 was great...... hockley allways has tons of cops

+1!!!!! and in traffic hours... wait... it's a 24 hours traffic hour road.. nvm...

I really like the DVP... around 5:30 is nice

twin rivers (scarborough/pickering boarder) is frequented with local motorcyclists (myself included). Its nothing to go from Mississauga to Pickering for though. 5/10, pretty short.

1 - over rated, too much traffic/popo to have fun

2 - never been

3- short ride, long distance to get to but alright for a destination ride (where else are Torontonians to go?)

short spurts of speed (with little chances of getting caught, if you look out)

a-Lakeshore Westbound just after Windermere Ave.
b-Lakeshore Westbound up onto the Gardiner, watch for radar just before the ramp
c-any ramp onto the Gardiner from Lakshore

Ramps

a-DVP N. to Bloor to Bayview S. to Don Valley to Don Valley S. ramp (You'll see me here alot cause I live downtown, I'm the guy in your rear view mirror or leaving you behind)
b-DVP Lawrence ramps - lots of cops
c-DVP N. to Don Mills N. to DVP S. to Don Mills S. u-turn (if possible) before O'Connor to DVP S. and do Bloor ramps
c1-if not safe to do u-turn at O'Connor then turn right on O'Connor till Pottery and go Bayview S. Do Bloor ramp again.

That's the best I got for Downtown Toronto. Anyone else know of some great places to either go fast or good turns please chime in!

I really got to shake my head when Mississauga Rd is brought up as a good riding road.

Really? Mississauga Rd?????

There are some short sections of Mississauga Road S of Dundas to the Lakeshore that provide a bit of fun when combined with the end of Collegeway and no traffic.
You take what you get.

North of that fugedaboudit. The mucked up Sawmill with stop signs.

Yup, I know. I used to live in the townhouses just to the north of Dundas and Miss. Rd.
That's my church up on the hill.

+1 short but sweet

DVP ramps is my nightly route. Keep looking for you but haven't seen you - front or back. PM when you want to head out. Lead and I'll follow.

Yep. Same with DVP, or on and off ramps..... like, have you ever ventured out of the GTA on a motorcycle ?
