Tom Clancy

Loved the Russians, hated the Chinese, mildly entertaining but definitely not God's gift to literature. He really let his biases show through which was detrimental to the flow of his stories.
 
I've never read his books but movies based on his books were pretty good. After all he was American, can see the bias there

I enjoyed his books and the movies made from them. RIP Mr. Clancy
 
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas is still one of my all time favourite console games....oh and a bunch of his books were pretty good too, other than some of them reading like a military technical manual at times
 
The Hunt was a great movie that I really enjoyed. I wish I had read the book before it, though. Can't compare with Das Boot, but that's like saying that an excellent mafia movie can't compare with the 2 Godfather movies - well, duuuuuh.
 
he was never in the military but his ability to write about military stuff was a really good stretch. he did a lot of homework before he sat down to write.

The movie versions of his books were always great entertainment. Rip Tom.
