Opinions... to sell the gixxer or not... its a 2010 gixxer 600

and use the funds to help buy a 11/12 STI wide body sedan.... this car is so badass...

Damn... the decision
 
Buy low and sell high. Someone told me that was good advise.
 
Why would anyone want to get rid of their bike and buy an 11/12ths scale car?
 
In this situation it all depends on whether you want to ride or drive more. + As usual check out the insurance first.

sounds like a good idea... the 06/07 hawkeye model is pretty badass too...only thing is... i'm afraid they're abused (well most are abused)
 
They take abuse well and they're refferd to as angel eye (06/07). I bought an 02 with 70,000km that had alot of money put into it and was running 22psi. At 200,000km now and still going (tuned down to 18psi). If the motor goes your looking at $6000ish for a new short block installed ($1800 for the block alone). I was toying with the idea of a new sti sedan as well but instead of another car payment I'm going to use the money to build my car the way I've wanted to. Try looking on the toronto subaru club site for a used one.

As dricked said, the cars are pretty tough. Im not kind to my bugeye but she just shrugs everything off. The gas mileage is crap tho ;)
 
An STI sedan is hotness for sure.

My thoughts though are that if you can't afford an STI without selling your bike then it doesn't sound like you can 'comfortably' afford a car like that.

Maybe buy the car if thats what you really want then go find a used SS for like $4k later on
 
STI is crazy overpriced IMO.

But if you really have to get one go stateside they're *much* cheaper there. You could buy one and drive it for a year and not lose a dime.
 
This is a motorcycle forum.

I went thru the turbocar deal yrs ago....It's a big hole to shovel money into for very little satisfaction ....Friday night drags are just about the pinnacle of ownership. Otherwise, you spend all your time pedalling it trying to stay outta trouble. My opinions on fast cars has changed alot over the yrs.
Cars are for towing bikes, and commuting thru winter. Who cares what you drive as long as it runs,LOL
 
^-I was all about the econobox, base models etc.

Then I drove my friend's s4 and thought heyyyy, not bad! Driving could actually be fun!

To more luxurious, comfortable, and usable cars. Again, just my opinion.

Fast cars are even more useless than fast bikes on the street. Sooner or later you realize you never really use much of the potential and then you wish you didn't buy an expensive souped up grocery getter.

maybe they're only 4 feet tall... and the full scale version would just take up unnecessary space in the garage.
