I'm not big on Shakespeare as I have trouble with that early modern English... but trying to figure out if something like that would be useful. See my sig and pls vote, thanks.

I think it's neat to have a track bike sub-forum (on GTAM)) but not necessarily a whole different site.
There are already some known sites dedicated to track bikes/parts/riders/racers.
That's just me though.

Your input is much appreciated. I thought of this because I myself thought I'd like to have it, but I'm certainly not so eager to waste my time, so thanks.

As for the known sites about track bikes, can you name a few? For my benefit 'cause I need some stuff and I can't find anything in Canada.

Locally, there's Cherrypickerracing.com and also the WERA Classifieds forum in the US.
I would say Shaman's Track Fanatics, but it's a new site and needs more members before it picks up.

These are all forum-like, my idea was slightly different. As for WERA---it being in the US, I found it's pretty hard to source things from there due to dealing across countries, sending money, etc. But what I thought was more like---I go look up 2003 gsxr 1000, and I see different people with the same bike, things they've done, etc. During the winter I had questions about routing brake lines, about clutch, about many things---if I could easily see what others have done with the bike and how, would have been much easier and enjoyable. As for trading bikes and parts---that was gonna be just part of it.

Anyway, like I said, I'm not so eager to start coding unless there's interest. And if there's no interest---it won't be used, so even i won't benefit from having a site like that. Thanks for the comments.

Didn't you get tons of ideas/solutions to your brake lines problem? Has nothing to do with people riding the same bike, IMO.

I did indeed get a lot of great advice. Two problems though: I had to ask, and also wouldn't have needed the advice in the firs place if I had a place to look it up for another bike like mine. And would have been 160 bucks richer right now. Ultimately, what solved my problem was not due to the advice, because although great, it was not specific to the peculiarity of my particular bike for the mistake I initially did following general guidelines . So I think you're wrong.

Ok, so correct me if I'm wrong, the idea behind your site is for people to list out their mods and how they installed them?

Take the car community---there are a couple of very popular sites, where people actually pay membership fees just to get in and "talk" about their car. People love talking about their stuff! Trackbikes would never be paid, but I digress...

Hey, I just wanted to contribute with something. Not sure how you would have reacted if somebody else on this forum suggested the very same thing...

I'm interested to hear a couple of more opinions, and if it's a no go, it's a no go, I'm fine with it, I'm certainly not dying to run a motorcycle site, lol :)

Dude, despite what you think, I have nothing against you.

Best of luck either way.

I think it's a great idea I'm a member of multiple forums fir everything I own. To have ur all in one place would be great.

You could also have track talk broken down to tmp, shanny, gb etc. do a soar and race series section (ya I know like oil and water lol).

Just my nickel as there r no more pennies
