Is Water Wetter ok?
I'm riding my bike to the track, after my side stand is tied up where do I park it? I have a rear stand but won't be able to take it with me. Is there alternatives?

Yes water wetter is ideal.

Snips and extra zip ties, or lean it against a wall

Thanks. I didn't find anything on the website about using anything other than water so I wouldn't wanna risk it without someone reassuring me I could.

Water wetter is your ONLY alternative to 100% water.
Stop at the Doollarstore and get a whole pack of zip ties.....and bring snips with you. That way you can zip tie your sidestand for each session and just cut it off again every time you pit.

Also, it's bad juju to ride to a trackday.....you aren't prepared to get home should anything go wrong.

Don't buy dollar store zip ties. They are very brittle. Had them break just going around the track, and also zip tying them.
Just my experience with dollar store zip ties
Home hardware, home depot, etc, have them for cheap $5 for like 50, and very strong.

I know TMP, Pro6, and the recent SOAR day don't make you zip tie you kick stand.
I don't zip tie my kick stand if i don't have too. If i don't have to zip tie my kick stand , I always test my kick stand switch before i go out.

Also if you do zip tie your kick stand, you can usually break it when you put the kick stand down.

Just and Tip like omnivore mentioned , try to get a ride in a trailer to the track, or mini van :p

Guys With Bikes will definitely make you zip-tie your kickstand.

I wouldn't like to be leaning into a turn and have the bike shut off because the kick stand came down and the switch worked!

Just the opinion of someone that is currently dealing with a hand injury from racing (crashing sucks balls) - take all steps necessary so all you have to worry about is the riding, not removing the stand to me is laziness and unnecessary risk, at a minimum. zip tie it.

This is just a general comment not focus on anyone in particular and just my opinion from the little experience I have.

I wish I didn't have to ride my bike to the track, but it's my only option at this time... I got CAA should anything happen. I will gladly accept a trailer ride if anyone is willing to offer. I got gas $$$ :)

I've got industrial strength zip ties, no worries there. My spring is in pretty good shape, but I will zip tie it regardless.

I know I am going to get hammered for saying this, but....I think the side stand rule for a track day is kind of stupid. If it is your street bike it has been ridden over all kinds of worse bumps than any you will encounter at the track. If the side stand switch hasn't accidentally actuated on the street it is not going to happen at the track. Tech guys should just check that the spring is good and strong and be done with it. Just my opinion.

On the other hand, I would be 100% okay with requiring wiring of the oil drain plug and oil filter. Those things actually can and do cause track day crashes. I have have already seen several such in the only 25 or 30 track days that I have attended. Never seen a side-stand related crash unless it was related to grounding the thing in a corner, which is unrelated to tying it up.

I tend to agree that a properly working sidestand shouldn't be a problem, but the truth of the matter is that Donald has seen everything you could imagine and more. He has seen sidestands make people crash.

Things should also work on airplanes, but each system has a safety redundant system added to it in cases stuff that is "supposed" to work properly doesn't. A ZIP tie on the stand to me is a really cheap safety precaution for when things "don't work as they are supposed to)

If you see it as "stupid" then don't use it, meh!

For clarity, when my bike still had a sidestand I always zip-tied it even when it wasn't required because I am not so arrogant as to ignore the advice of people who have vastly more experience than I do. But doing what you are told out of respect for the person telling you is not the same as actually being convinced. Me, I'm not convinced. But I obey. :)

you can find zip ties that have a release tab on them so you can reuse it. you can use one of those all day and it still satisfies the tech requirements for having your kick stand up. maybe put two for redundancy.

ducky, I saw in person on track a guy got passed really close, somehow the other riders foot or peg or something hit his kickstand, causing it to drop, the next left it hit the ground and pitched the bike over, its not always the switch you have to worrie about.

Only water-wetter.. bring a rear stand (doesn't matter how). Don't ride your bike to the track. A guy today rode to the track.. binned it very early on.. and spent the entire day trying to get it back together, only to have to ride it home at 5PM without a front end/mirrors/fairings etc.
