TMP Cayuga Lapping Time Change: 1pm-9pm (July 30)

I just received e-mail confirmation after booking that, due to the heat, the motorcycle lapping time for Saturday July 30 will be from 1pm to 9pm. I don't know if this is being changed/considered for the rest of the long weekend.

Just a heads up.

It's not even going to be hot this weekend (compared to last week of course)... riding in the evening with the sun low and in your eyes after riding through a hot afternoon doesn't sound like a good plan either.
 
Is anybody attending this TD? Looking to attend as my first TD. Is there a cap on registration? How early should one arrive before the TD begins? So many questions no idea who or where to get info, the rep from tmp couldn't tell me anything useful heh

If that 1pm time means track opens (ie, red group is on track at 1pm) which it probably does, you should be there by 11:30 I'd say. Gives you time to unload, get through tech inspection, get set up for the day... You'll want to check the bike prep requirements for TMP just so you don't have any surprises when you get there.

So they're going to start you off during the hottest part of the day, then let you run with sun in your eyes .... good plan!!

I'm glad I never have to go back there, never found the love at the place.

That's a good point. Is there anything "official" on start times, tech, etc.? I was planning to arrive 11 ish. I've not been to this track before so I'll need a few minutes to get orientated.

I have no idea... I'm not going. I never go to TMP on weekends.
