TMP Cayuga July31 track day.

This will be my first track day with TMP. I have done two track days at TMP with Reddawn. Reddawn really has no tech so I was wondering what the requirments are.

I have a 07 ZX6. It is all safety wired and has track body work.

The only thing I do not have wired is my front brake line at the caliper but will this do. I put a blob of RTV silicone over the nut. I do not know how to wire that nut. I am worried if I drill a hole thruw the nut that I will brake thruw.

See pic.

The other question I have is what group to run in. Like I said I did two track days with Redawn and did a track day at Shannonville. I raced supermoto for two seasons with R.A.C.E. at Shannonville so I am not new to the track. How ever this is only my 4th track day on a sport bike.

Thanks

Freddie

Sounds like you might be a fast green or slow yellow rider. The question you should ask is how much room do you feel comfortable with on track. If you're OK with other bikes running close by to pass, maybe with a big speed differential, then you're OK to yellow. Otherwise try green and if you feel you're OK with yellow during the day just ask the organisers if you can change.

Is there passing in green or just on the two straights?

Best just listen during the riders meeting as rules vary from organizer to organizer, and also because the person who answered below you is completely wrong. Regarding the group you want to ride in, that should be your decision not someone online who has no credentials advising you. 4th trackday, raced supermoto's, how do you feel? You should be able to gauge yourself on a sportbike after 3 full trackdays. Worst come to worst, you ride a session and feel you are in the wrong group, you ask to move. No riding time lost or anything. ;)

Was nice meeting you Fred... hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. Here's a short vid of R1Guy and I playing around:

That was a close call.... looking forward to seeing R1guy's view now...

That'd be nice but I had his GoPro suctioned to my upper at the time. He was directly beside me when I checked up to avoid hitting the turtles after a poorly executed turn-in... we hit hard enough to bend an exhaust bracket on my bike but all ended well and we're quite pleased.

Edit - we were quite pleased nobody got hurt!
Scratched my really expensive paint job tho... thanks a lot Eric!

I have a video with some really crap music (just for you Koji) to post up... just need some time.

I had a great day. It was nice to meet some new people and watch you fast guys rip up the track.

Thanks again for all your help.

Freddie

HA.... Okay but you actually might like this one Koji. Downloading to YouTube as of right now, post the link up as soon as it's done.

Oh and plus you won't get to hear my new Vroom Vroom down the front straight... I think I have the GP shift thing straight for the most part.
... this could be a trap... I can do Vroom Vroom by myself...
