Looking at purchasing a set of Shinko Raven 009 front and rear..
any thoughts?? reviews?? good or bad.. motorcycle superstore has a sale and i am considering.

Well I ran the 005's and they were pretty darn good, they actually felt better the the dunlops i replaced them with, I am all for trying out different tires, right now I am running VEE 367's ....they are not to bad but a little more wheel spin when you roll on the throttle. But yes give them 009's a go!
 
I got a set of 009 for $170 delivered to my door from US this summer. The rear lasted only three weeks, but I got to West coast and back on it :) (16,000Km). The front is still on and looking pretty good after 20,000Km. I rode in all conditions and all riding styles but they never broke traction on me, even though my bike was heavily loaded. I couldn't find a single flaw on Shinkos even after two previous sets of Michelin Pilot Road 2. If anything, the bike felt like it was falling into cormers more smoothly and easily. Excellent tires with unbeatable price/quality ratio, I'll buy them again without hesitation.
