Tires good for another month or should replace immediately?

Hello there basically the question is if these tires are good to ride for the season or should be replaced asap.
I know the tires are old, but would like to judge by the thread and crazing. Thx

wow, the original owner of these tyres probably died long time ago for old age reason...

is that IRC rubber? That stuffs trash when its brand new, replace imo.

11 years old? fuggetabout it.

Like I said I know they are old, the bike has around 10K on it, so rare ridden. Can these tires be used for another 2 weeks, before the new ones arrive or has to be replaced asap? It's a small cc bike

tyres cracks because they dry out, so could last another year or 100m till first pothole... plus contact surface is probably hard as glass so no traction as well... and depth of the thread is irrelevant here IMHO unless you plan to ride in dirt...

meh, they're probably OK for puttering around for 2 weeks while you wait for good tires, I wouldnt touch them in the rain though.

Your life, your choice ultimately.

Some will say no, Some will say yes. If these tires are on your car in that condition would you worry about them? Not judging or making an opinion. Just asking a qeustion

As stated above, you'll get one of two possible answers.
Look at it this way, what is riding on top of those cracked and dried out tires?
Our streets are terrible as well..

If you must ride them (while waiting for new tires) take it easy and stick to good weather...

Yeah they will be hard as a rock, I would not be leaning to hard or ripping in corners. Also be a good idea need to exceed the speed limits.

Welcome to Motorcycle Season, Shops are busy and some will charge you more for install as they lose out on the tire sale.

Thanks and why so crazy expensive to replace the tires? I was told $224 to replace both if I bring my own tires.
Depends on the bike. Some are a PITA to remove and reinstall. $224 looks like about 2 hours labour.
Some places charge extra if you supply the tires because they lost the sale.
Did you ask the shop what their tire prices were ?

Those look pretty dried out. It is pretty amazing how well tires can last stored properly, did all last season on early 2013 date codes and you wouldn't have been able to tell just looking at and feeling them. Still were just fine.

They are tired, but not dead... I've seen a lot worse. Based on the size of the tire it looks like the bike is a 250, not likely its gonna rip off a tire.

Order your new tires, ride these till they arrive.

I’ve ridden on old tires like that. Maybe I was lucky front was a Michelin and back a Metzler. Perhaps better quality?

If you take the wheels off the bike you can get them changed out at Daniel Ciccone at (416) 707-0422 and heritageautosports@gmail.com
For $60.
