Tire Balance

OK, I'm a retard on two fronts. I want to put the light part of the tire at the valve stem. I've located the red dots. Except I vaguely remember reading the dots don't always mean it's the light part but 180 degrees. Nothing coming up on the googler. Tires are Tourance EXP.

Depends on the manufacturer.

I know with Dunlops the dot goes to the valve stem.

I thought I read that. Will try googler again, thanx.

Edit: red dot is light spot per Metzeler website. Guess I just needed to slow down a bit.

I usually check the balance of the rim/rotors/valve before installing rubber. I find the heavy spot is rarely at the valve. It's not a big deal, but saves a bit of extra wheel weights.
