Black, you were parked by the fire hydrant, be sure to thank the hotel valet staff across the street, they helped hoist it back up after an SUV backed into it, alarm was going off, driver left his info on the bike and with hotel staff, right brake is busted and some scratches to the right fairing from what I saw.

Saw it on the way home, nasty. On a sidenote, gold CB175 got a ticket for parking outside the pole, gotta watch that.

Thats one of the main reasons I like to have an alarm in a bike, so it gets attention when knocked over and someone sees/gets details of culprit who did it. Maybe less reason for them to "escape" as well. If the information turns out to be valid, you were lucky. Theres a lot of hit and runs here.

That's happened to me as well, parked it between the sidewalk bump-out and the parking pole to get to John St. quicker and came back with a yellow Welcome To Toronto card tucked in the seat. I also don't like parking anywhere near the fire hydrant, it's like the distance from where you park it and if you get tagged is all up to the parking officer's artistic impression.

Lol. I can imagine the first thing that came out of that SUV drivers mouth as he looked down at the bike and saw the BMW roundel on the fairing, then looked up and saw the eye-witnesses.
