I have a 2002 CBR F4i and its time for new tires. Any suggestions? My first time changing tires so I have no experience with any other tires. I'm not an overly aggressive rider, but I want the comfort of havinng decent grip.

anything with thread will do.

pilot road 3's are agood touring tire

Modern sport touring tires are more than capable of meeting the needs of 99.999% of street riders and last quite a bit longer than the softer sport tires.

Michelin Pilot Road 3
Pirelli Angel ST
Bridgestone BT023
Dunlop Roadsmarts

The Angel ST's are nice, and were priced very competitively when I bought them last year.

Instead of starting a new thread, thought I would ask in here...

263$ for a set of bridgestone bt003's 120/180 ... is that a fair price??

Called Pete's and they wanted 345$ before shipping lol...
263$ sounds like a steal...
Any tips for a cheaper supplier, let me know, thanks!

Dave B @ Ripp Racing was selling them for $219 at the Jan bike show. He sold out pretty quick.

Just checked out the website...
Front - 160$
Rear - 190$

Maybe he had a special at the Jan. show...
From what I've been seeing so far, 219$ is a giveaway!
I'm buying a few items so shipping is 15$ for everything, I don't think I'll find a better price elsewhere.
One last call to Dave @ Competition Cycle, we'll see what happens.

Are you going to get raped in duty and brokerage charges? I think dave at competition cycle is selling the BT-016's for $245. More than enough tire for my needs.

I ordered my exhaust and power commander from motomummy and that was over 700$, I paid something like 35$ at delivery... It was still cheaper than anywhere I can find.

I currently have the bt016's, great tires. They were on the bike when I bought it at 5,500 Km's, I got close to 12,000 Km's so far and they still have a lot of life left. I've had no problems leaning the bike over.
I just want something a little more sticky that will help build my confidence in taking corners/leaning.
For me, it's just a psychological thing I guess.

Went with the Dunlop Q2's, felt a world of a difference over my BT-014's. Thanks dave a competition cycle.

Are you a fair weather rider \, or are you going to be riding RAIN or shine? If RAIN, then choose your tire carefully, and you will be a comfortable rain rider. The Metzlers have a good rep. for rain..ME880's for one.
