I traded my TLR for a friends new 636 for a day.
I couldn't wait to get back on the TLR. I had the RSC Hyperpro damper on the TLR so it steered VERY fast and light with no instability. The engine was tuned and mapped so it ran flawlessly. The torque was excellent and the top end was great. That being said, the TLR frame comes right up into the seat where your thighs are when your legs are down at a stop. It was like holding a burning hot frying pan against your inner thighs on a hot summer day.
I thought the 636 was nice when you spun it up and it handled okay. But it was annoying after the engine in the TLR spoils you.
Try it out for a day so you can see what's the better fit for you.
