Throttle locks?

Does anyone use a throttle lock?

Just curious. I've been thinking of getting a throttlemeister, just because. Not looking for a wrist rest, I want to be able take my hand off the bar completely.

I had one and loved it. I think it was a vista cruise.

I have a Throttlemeister. Advantage is there is a heavy version that helps with vibrations they also look great in polished. Downside is it's a pain to setup right.

I installed a Kaoko throttle lock. http://www.kaoko.com/ If you're riding in hilly terrain it's not much good as you'll be going too slow uphill and too fast downhill. That being said, when you find a flat piece of highway it works very well and gives much needed relief to your right hand. Always be very careful to fully disengage it when not in use so you don't end up with the throttle stuck open when you don't want it to be. There is a company that provides true electronic cruise control for my bike through an ECU program but it's very pricey.

Yeah that applies to all lock style but some you can adjust on the fly easily - Vista Cruise and Kaoka and others not ( Brake-away )

I owned all three - sold the latter - too finicky with temp

Kaoka best looking -

Vista Cruise cheap and it works and easy to put on if you don't have to trim your grip.

+1 Just ordered mine from A Vicious Cycle, didn't know they have them at GP.

Yep, got mine there last Friday, it's hidden away in the section with the saddle bags along with a few other different types of throttle locks, haven't used it yet though

If you're ever planning on crossing the plains, get a throttle lock. Go Cruise saved me from some serious carpel tunnel.

I got mine at Oakville Yamaha. I Don't use it often but it's nice when you need to stretch out your hand.

Did you notice if they have more in stock? How much were they?

I want one for the James Bay tour I am doing in two weeks, but I don't know if it will be here in time if I order online.
