Hello

Does anyone know a local shop/store that sells Three Bond Liquid Gasket Maker 1207B?
I cant seem to find anyone that carries this product.
I can order it online for $15.00 but shipping is $30 totaling $45.00. I rather support local dealers first before ordering online... So if anyone knows who has this product...please let me know

Have you tried BMW Motoraad, like Budds or BMW Toronto? "Drei-bond 1209" is standard sealant for BMW K-bike engines (part # 07-58-9-062-376.) and the parts department at BMW should be able to source it. It might be more expensive than $15 but less than $45. Don't know the difference between 1207B and 1209 and whether they are interchangeable.

Popular wisdom on the K-bike forums recommend "Loctite 515 Master Gasket" after first priming the mating surfaces with "Loctite Primer T". This performs equally as well as Drei-bond. Some have reported success with Permatex Red RTV. These are in areas of the engine that see severe service (example, water/oil pump) and need the sealing power offered by Drei-bond; Ultrablack won't perform well in these applications.

Hey Bleed Blue...

I have no idea what Three Bond Liquid Gasket Maker 1207B does better then Ultra Black... It's just what honda recommends in the service manual, when it comes to putting an oil pan back on, so I thought I would look for that product first instead of a substitute.

I will take a look at Ultra Black and see if it's suitable for what I need it for...

No... I haven't tried BMW Motoraad, or Budds etc... Thank you for your reply... I don't mind spending the extra money on a good product. I rather spend more and do it right the first time, then to re-do everything because I wanted to save a dollar.

I am going to look into your recommendation, along with bleed blue's and see what will work best.
