Ahh you're right. Hmm, i'll look into it. I don't have a belly pan so its just the pipes i need to work around
 
OP, what bike do you have? I have that jack, it works great on my Sportster and I have had a few other makes and models of cruisers up on it.

FYI, that's my old CBR125R and stands in that pic. I had just bought it, circa June 2007...
 
If you are a real grease monkey get both of them, it will surely be very useful. But if you are a regular diy rider get the bike stand instead.
 
Stands suck, it's a lot easier working on a bike that's elevated a foot or two, and suspension work is a breeze. But, your exhaust might be an issue for the jack unless you can fabricate a workaround or you're willing to remove it every time you want to put it up.
