Thinking of doing a Montreal trip Saturday Morning....

After doing the Harrisberg PA trip last week-end, I'm contemplating doing a Montreal trip this Saturday,..maybe leave at 6 am in the morning....stay over a night..vist the Swartz deli for the sandwich and some brews later.....come back Sunday...any ideas

Thoughts..recomendations....routes...scenic...I know taking mill st. exit off New Castle and taking Lakeshore rd east is nice so maybe that to Port Hope and then Old Highway 2 from Trenton to Napanee then on the 401 again?

Anyone interested....

Pretty boring.... I'd go north to North Bay, then 63 the 101 then 391 then 117 and loop up 117 and then if you want go down to Montreal for a flyby visit or you can cut off and go to Ottawa. Byward Market is very nice.

or cut off at North Bay and come down the Ottawa Valley ( try and catch 533 Matawa ) then it's not far Ottawa to Montreal - slab it home

Leave at 6 am - 4 hours to North Bay ( nice coffee stop in Huntsvile )

Watch the weather on Sunday tho....rain gear appropriate.
 
Take Hwy 7 to Ottawa, have a snack and rest, then go to Montreal from there. I think going east to Montreal via North Bay is a little out of the way. 1600 km is the distance to PEI

Ya not sure of the north bay thing...I'm a southern kinda guy...If I want to do that many clicks I'd go south...maybe the NJ and NY, and maybe one day to Las Vegas and California.
 
I'm in the West island area in case you run into any mechanical issues etc....

thanks man....the rider I was planning on going with can't make it tomorrow, so maybe do Montreal another time and do day trip on Sunday to Thousand island weather permitting....
