albeit, no expert here in afghan law, but having sex out of wedlock may be considered rape by their standards so to be punishable by law, so there is possbily some lost in translation here...not so much as a step backwards if it's always been that way, that story just happened to get more publicity, but it happens quite often from what i understand...and this isn't the first time it's made the news...

That is the scary thing that this happens quite often there, doesn't make it right. Poor girl gets raped by a relative then has to marry him to get out of jail. What a life, I would get murdered in that country.
 
Every woman in the western world should bend down and kiss the ground, and be thankful they don't live in that kind of hell.

As a gay person, I would've either have been killed or I would have done it myself had I been born into that kind of society.
 
We put this regime in power.. And the one before him.. Aren't you guys glad we're making a positive difference in world's politics? :D
