Thieves!

Come down to bike this morning in my condo underground and it's half covered, I always make sure to cover it when I'm not on it.

Bike is off it's stands, has been attempted to be moved. Well they failed at getting the bike, I guess parking the car right up against the bike and having a caliper lock really does help after all!

Although the ******** did steal: 1/8th bottle of wax, 1/2 can of chain lube, 1/4 can of brake cleaner, front and rear stands, brake fluid and a bottle of spray and shine.

Like really... wtf. Could be area (Morningside and Lawrence) or could be just someone being an *******.

How are all of these things just out in the open though? Like are the bottles just laying on the ground by your bike, or even up against the wall. A thief who is having hard times making ends meet would have no second thoughts about going one a quick shopping spree. The stands are freaking pricey to have stolen. Is it possible to just bring this stuff down when it's time to work on the bike instead of just leaving it in the open and hoping no one makes the easy steal?

It actually sounds like a rider who wanted a bunch of tools/accessories to maintain their own bike and saw that stuff laying there unsupervised.

They're covered behind the bike. The management never bothers me because you can't see any of it unless you walk into the actual parking spot, and uncover it. Haven't had a problem with leaving small misc items in my spot before (couple bottles of oil for car, funnels, brake fluid) I know what you mean, it's just so much more convenient to have it in the spot. Come home from ride, clean and lube chain then go upstairs instead of having to go up and come back down.

I'm going to pick up new stands, and weld a U bolt onto them and have a chain pass through the rim and the stands. Going to grab some anchors today.

I just think it's ridiculous that they stole things that were half used, and almost empty.

Thieves in Scarberia you say? I wouldn't be able to ride living there unless I had a garage of my own and even then. At least they didn't get your bike

Set up a dash cam in your car to come on with motion only. And have it pointed at your bike, or the stuff around it.

Youd be suprised at what happens or what you catch on it.

isnt division 43 right up the street? go make a report dude i would hate to walk out to a stolen bike :(

And how exactly is it going to help, mr. know-it-all hate-you-all?

OP, I say move the bike to safer location if you have one, because thieves have a tendency to come back. And of course, don't store anything in your parking spot, as it's way too easy to steal for those lowlifes.

hey man, i dont mean to scare you, but your rotor lock wont do crap, i had my gixxer chained to a post, i had an alarm, rotor/disk lock, steering lock, AAAND i had my car parked against the bike... didnt help......... :( my LE gixxer was bye bye

Lol where was this parked where they had time to break your chain rotor lock and steering lock next to your car without someone responding to the alarm?
Not to sound like a dick but it just sounds a little bit ridiculous.

Galloway. Well known for their local gang: The Galloway Boys. Rivals to the Malvern gangs.

You need to move your bike. Now that they know your bike is there they will be back with the proper equipment to finish the job.

I always say to everyone here, it is the area. If you live in an area with lower income groups. Not only you get thiefs coming from outside, but within the building as well, therefore you expect things to get stolen if you dont put them away.

I used to live in Scarborough Ellesmere/McCowan, the area is not as dangerous as morningside, but I still put a GPS tracking device in my Ninja 250
