Motorcyclist killed in collision on Highway 407 ramp in Thornhill

Police say two motorcycles collided on a Highway 407 ramp in Thornhill, leaving one rider dead.

First thing I notice is no visible license plate. Even if it was in an accident, the rest of the bike is pretty much intact, and that tail fairing doesn’t seem much worse for wear…

No visible license plate, nothing for the cam. Why not ride the 407 if you don’t have to pay your way?

Well, the entire left side is hanging off.

Considering where the two bikes are, the police markers on the road, and the location of a backpack and other belongings, it looks like a collision at or just before the ramp bullnose. Either the green bike was taking the ramp and then decided at the last minute to go straight and hit the black bike that was going straight, or the black bike did the opposite (was going straight and decided at the last minute to take the ramp and hit the green bike who was already on the ramp.

Unfortunately we’re all just guessing as to what happened.

Looks like it happened right in front the OPP's 407 ETR detachment too.
