The Star - poorly done

Why on Earth would anyone read that rag?

Everyone there seems to want to be a columnist, since they get paid more.

So they all give their opinion of the news, rather than the news itself.

This is just anecdotal, but someone in my extended family became inexplicably partially paralyzed after this vaccination. It was devastating. Hospitalization for weeks then months of physio, she has largely recovered.

i think there are rare bad reactions to vaccinations, but that the benefits to the population greatly outweigh this risk. It just really sucks if it happens to you or yours.
 
Did not read the offending piece. I don't know what the problem is. Am I upset? You bet I am. T.O. Star!
 
Usually stick to national post and bloomberg for news. Dated a girl that did freelance for the star. The star lost all credibility when they published her stories. She would change facts to the story she wanted.

All you need to do is be involved or have intimate knowledge of a story reported on. Once you read the story your impression of journalism will change forever. It's the movie equivalent of tires burning rubber on gravel.
 
Vaccinations ... here we go .... 100 pages in 5 days is my guess.

There's simply no rationale way to discuss something like this here in this format.

All I would expect of the government health official is to disclose everything and let me decide what's best for me. The only reason why this article exists is because they are not doing that. Health Canada constantly hides facts and evidence ... the FDA looks like a chatter box compared to them.

BTW, I do agree, that the article was not written in very balanced way .. but what is in today's world. People should use more of their common senses rather than rely on someone (be it paper or government) to tell them what they should do all the time.

I enjoy my copy too ... LOL ... was late today though. I suspect guy's car didn't start this morning in -25C.
 
All news is slanted. All of it. Even the TV station I work for. Read, watch and listen with healthy skepticism and you will be fine.

Yeah read her garbage. I also knew the facts of the interview Cuz I was with her. Confronted her about it. She said it would sell better this way.

She moved out west so don't care where she is working.

Big lolz. Having been an on+off customer for many moon I'm on their speed dial for promotions. When the promotion is off, I cancel. I don't cancel so much for the money but there's this manipulative advertising trick they do nowadays that really annoys me. Big surprise, huh? Also, going forward, there will be no more young. It's all old all the time. You can keep bringing it up if it makes you feel better but be warned, I have some bad news for you.
