I hope the mods are ok with this but I wanted to let you all know that we've launched The SportBike Movement Canada discussion forums just two days ago.

We hope to create an engaging discussion community for all Canadian Sportbike riders, and address many topics including information and guidance to local track days while hoping to reduce the barriers to entry to the sport and the overwhelming feelings that may arise while debating making the jump to riding on the track and improving their riding skills in a safer environment.

Please visit us at http://sportbikemovement.ca and take a minute to register an account.

I've edited the original post, the link was invalid. Sorry about that and I hope to see you all on The SportBike Movement forums!

Good to see new forums popping up in Canada. Competition is healthy. Will sign up today. One suggestion, don't lock yourself into "sportbike racing." Keep your forum "general sportbike" oriented and add a racing section. And for the sake of growing your forum, please add sensible mods and let people speak their minds without fear of being spanked by infractions.

Thanks for the encouragement, it actually means something to me. I'm doing this for the sportbike community as a whole, just putting an emphasis on the fact that the tracks are out there, and it's not that complicated to get out to one and ride fast and hard in a much safer environment then the street. We plan on allowing freedom of discussion as long as topics are posted in the right categories, and as long as we don't feel like existing members are going to heavily discourage newer ones to register, post, and/or seek advice. We are also proud to keep the doors open to a multi-regional environment. We feel that while maintaining a multi regional sportbike forum for Canadians we made the best balance we could think of. This way people are exposed to the culture in different regions when it comes to Sportbikes, allows people to buy and sell canada wide, and provides the opportunity to develop a sizeable user base all united by the same parameters Canadian SportBike Riders!

What's wrong with Triumphs? Are they not good enough cause we have an I-3 :(

Nothing is wrong with then, I actually quite enjoy them. They are new forums and I'm adding everything as we go. It's been hectic for a while and certain things slip. It's all I've been doing for a couple days now tweaking and adding and changing. You should see triumph section up in the

Triumph section has been added!

Dave Moss and The SportBike Movement Canada have been in touch and he has agreed to visit us every couple of weeks and answer your questions about suspension tuning! We've also posted a few PDF guides to get you started working on your own suspension. At the very least please get your "sag" in the ball park for your weight. This alone can make a world of difference with your sportbike. See this topic and more at:

Sorry to those who have tried to sign up for an account lately at SBM, we had a small error that prevented the image verification letters to not display on the user registration page, it has since been handled and registrations should be good to go again. Sorry for the inconvenience and hope to see all sportbike riders there!
