The Personal won't tell you how much $

So I called them a few weeks ago and got a quote. Called again today and the guy wanted to do the process again. It's attached to the car policy and wouldn't tell me how much the premium for the year would be. Said I would receive renewal documents and I would know then. Really!? My car premium is up in late June.

Also The Personal won't insure you if you plan to do access courses, rally or track. Even if it's a class.

Sounds like your insurer wants to sign/attach a new policy for you but sees that the premium is going to be high so he wants you to sign it before knowing the actual amount.

When you sign a new policy doesn't it show the amount that you're going to be paying anyways??

M with them too demand to speak to the onsite supervisor...

really? they told me my price straight up, I told them I am going to be getting small mods like HID headlights, frame sliders and they didn't say anything at all

Wait until you have to make a claim and you will love them even more.

You wouldn't write someone a blank cheque would you?

If they want to play stupid games, tell 'em where to go and take your business elsewhere.

Strange. I call them all the time to ask them for new rates and they always give them to me on the spot.

man i just called again, $256 a month, apparently i asked for a quote on a older model bike, $6 extra per month not bad

I asked with theft they said it would be $275, and with full coverage $450 a month

Man, those rates are nasty. I'm with the Personal; my street bike is 450 a year. I wouldn't ride for 450 a month

well im 17yrs old, m2, 650 ninja :( its a lot better than other quotes i've heard,

how old are you and what do you ride?

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't expect great rates at your age, but 450 a month is insane, especially considering the length of season. I've been riding for 22 years, and I'm on a dual sport (KLR650) so that helps, but 5400 year just doesn't make sense unless you have a record that calls for it. Having said that, a 650 ninja speaks volumes about the rate

I just left the personal.

They were charging too much.

Its the lowest quote I found yet, td wants $8000, other companies won't insure :(

For the 650R at under 25 it's not a terrible price. Mine was $430/mo when I first started through State Farm.

Now I'm at around $140/mo on The Personal but part of that is because I live downtown.
